BioI am a stay at home mom, a former teacher, and an aspiring writer. I am married to the most wonderful husband in the world. We have a 7-year-old daughter who has Asberger syndrome, and a neurotic beagle who was named after a cigar.
I started this journal in part because my husband is tired of my tirades over the morning paper, and I needed a place to complain, rant, scream, whatever.
I believe that mother bears take better care of their cubs than we take care of our children. I am disgusted with the way we treat each other in our society. I am fed up with American greed. I am scared of what the world will look like when my daughter becomes an adult. I think that more of us should stand up and speak out for what is right, good, and decent.
Other info: I was born and raised in Fairport, NY. Once a Raider, always a Raider! I have a BA in English and Secondary Ed/Minor in French from Nazareth College of Rochester, and I have part of an MA in English from SUNY Brockport, and I never finished my MS in Elementary ed. at Nazareth.
My husband and I are huge Genesis fans--we saw them in September in Toronto and in Buffalo. If you were at the Genesis show at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse in 1992, you probably know who we are!
